How to get there

　

Public transportation is advised.

• Take the MRT Bannan Line and get off at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall station. Walk along the Guangfu South Rd. towards the south direction to the 4th section of Renai Rd. Then, walk towards the east direction for about 13 minutes.
  ** South direction/ east direction – this is not very easy to understand. Its better for “Turn right on” or “Turn left on”
• Take the MRT Bannan Line and get off at the Taipei City Hall station. Walk along the Keelung Rd. towards the south direction to City Hall Rd. for about 6 minutes.
• Take the MRT Tamsui-Xinyi Line and get off at Taipei 101. Walk along City Hall Rd. towards the south direction for about 6 minutes.

Convenient transportation

I. Taipei Metro

• There will be continuous operation for 42 hours to celebrate New Year's Eve. (The operating time for Xiaobitan branch line and Xinbeitou branch line will be extended until 1/1/2019, 00:00)
• The final bus departing from Maokong (S10) will be extended until 1/1/2019, 01:00 and the bus BR15 operating time will be extended to 1/1/2019, 01:30.

II. Others

• Taoyuan Metro: There will be continuous operation for 42 hours to celebrate New Year's Eve. For more information, please visit the official website of Taoyuan Metro.
• Taiwan High Speed Rail: Please visit the official website of Taiwan High Speed Rail for information regarding extra vehicles on 1/1/2019.

III. Bus service

There are three lines operating between 1/1/2019, 00:00 to 01:30.

• To MRT Taipei Main Station: Departs at intersection of Ren'ai Rd. and Yanji St., zone one fare.
• To MRT Gongguan Station: Departs at intersection of Keelung Rd. and Wenchang St., zone one fare.
• To Muzha and Jingmei districts: Departs at intersection of Songde Rd. and Xinyi Rd., charge according to current regulations.

Traffic Regulations

I. Traffic Regulations for New Year's Countdown Party

• First stage: 12/25 12:00 - 22:00, East 5 lanes of City Hall Rd. (between Songshou Rd. and Songgao Rd.) will be closed.
• Second stage: 12/25 22:00 - 12/28 00:00, East 5 lanes of City Hall Rd. (between Songshou Rd. and Songgao Rd.) and New Renai Rd. will be closed.
• Third stage: 12/28 00:00 - 1/2 06:00, City Hall Rd. (between Songshou Rd. and Songgao Rd.) and New Renai Rd. will be closed.

II. Road closures on New Year's Eve

• First stage: 12/31 19:00-20:00 (In the control area, vehicles may only exit, entering is not allowed). Areas west of Songren Rd., south of Zhongxiao East Rd., north of Xinyi Rd., east of Yixian Rd. and Keelung Rd.
• Second stage: 12/31 20:00-22:00 (All vehicles are prohibited.) Area will expand to Yixian Rd. and Renai Rd. Traffic control in Keelung Rd. Underpass.
• Third stage: 12/31 22:00 - 1/1 03:00 (All vehicles are prohibited.) Areas east of Guangfu South Rd., south of Zhongxiao East Rd., north of Xinyi Rd., Zhuangjing Rd. Lane 236, Section 5, Zhongxiao East Rd., west of Songde Rd. and Songren Rd.

III. Viaduct Control

• Keelung Viaduct: Ram control in intersection of Keelung Rd. and Leye Rd. Vehicles should take exit to intersection of Keelung Rd. and Dunhua S. Rd.
• HuanDong and Tiding Blvd.: Ram control at exit to Keelung Rd., vehicles should drive west towards Civic Blvd. Viaduct at ChengChi Bridge.
• Civic Blvd. Viaduct: Vehicles driving east towards Civic Blvd. and Guangfu exit are not allowed to turn right to Guangfu South St. at intersection of Civic Blvd. and Guangfu South St.
• Xinyi Expressway: Vehicles may leave downtown via Xinyi Expressway. While driving downtown, vehicles may only turn right onto Songde Rd., as left turns onto City Hall Rd. are not allowed.

IV. Parking control

• Parking is not allowed between 12/31/2018 17:00 - 1/1/2019 03:00 for the following sections below:
  
  • East side of Guangfu S. Rd.
  • North side of Renai Rd. and slow traffic lane at south side
  • West side of Sec. 2, Keelung Rd.
  • West side of Songde Rd.
  Temporary parking is also prohibited except buses.
• Parking is not allowed between 12/31/2018 17:00 - 1/1/2019 03:00 for the following sections below:
  
  • Yanji St.
  • Songxin Rd.
  • 236 Lane, Section 5, Zhongxiao E. Rd.
  • 168 Lane, Songde Rd.
• All parking lots in the control area (Guangfu S. Rd.,Zhongxiao E. Rd.,Xinyi Rd.,Songren Rd. and Songzhi Rd.) are not allowed to be parked between 12/31/2018 17:00 - 1/1/2019 03:00.
• Since 12/31/2018 19:00, parking lots in the control area, vehicles may only exit as entering is not allowed. At 20:00, all vehicles are prohibited. End controlling at 1/1/2019 03:00.

　

V. Bike and YouBike control

• There are a lot of people in the New Year's Countdown Party, so please get off your bicycle and move it along.

  • First stage: Since 12/31/2018 17:00, stations below will be closed until 1/1/2019 03:00.
    Taipei City Hall, Citizen Square, Xingya Jr. High School, NAN SHAN PLAZA, Xinyi Square (Taipei 101), TWTC Exhibition Hall 3, Sanchangli, MRT Taipei 101/World Trade Center Sta., Renai & Yixian Intersection, Xinyi & Keelung Intersection. 10 stations in total.
  • Second stage: Since 12/31/2018 19:00, stations below will be closed until 1/1/2019 03:00.
    MRT S.Y.S Memorial Hall Stataion(Exit 2.), Emergency Operations Center of Taipei City, Xiangshan Park, MRT Xinyi Anhe Sta.(Exit.4), Keelung & Guangfu Intersection, Renai & Yanji Intersection, Sanxing Park, MRT Xinyi Anhe Sta.(Exit.1). 8 stations in total.
  • Suggest return stations：Songshan Vocational High School, Futai Park, Longmen Square, MRT Daan Sta., Taipei Medical University. 5 stations in total.

VI. Others traffic regulations

• Since 12/31/2018 21:00, people may only exit from Taipei City Hall Transit Station, clearance at 21:30, and traffic control at 19:30.
• Since 12/31/2018 21:00, people may only exit from second floor of Taipei City Hall Transit Station, overall control at 22:00.
• Underground passage of Taipei City Hall will be closed at 12/31 22:00.
• Underground passage of MRT Taipei 101/Word Trade Center will be closed at 12/31 22:00.
• Underground passage of Breeze center Xinyi will be closed at 12/31 22:00.
• All exits from stores to with Xinyi air bridge will be closed at 12/31 21:00, clearance at 22:00.
• Xinyi & Keelung Intersection air bridge is not allowed to enter since 12/31 22:00.
